So the part I got in the play is Luce's woman. Now when I told everyone they thought I said I was going to be a loose woman. haha very funny. One of the characters names is Sir Luce, he's a knight. And I am playing his lady. I named myself Lady Charlotte. And so far, I have one line, but that could change. We haven't even gotten the scripts yet, so I can't wait to see it. The music is hilarious. And the dancing, I can't wait for that either. We have learned part of the Spanish Panic (what a great name eh?) and we are supposed to learn the rest of it tomorrow night.

I forgot to post some pictures from the fall production. It was a great success! everyone loved it, and we sold out all our shows. (although I think with me having all my family and friends there that helped sell tickets, haha)

Cathy and I played sisters, who had a school for orphaned girls (Katherine and Cheryl) and we took them on our USO tour. The play was set in 1944. Aren't we funny?

This picture is of us again, but this was for our big number. We sang "tico, tico" in the style of Carmen Miranda. Those fruit hats were heavy!!! But man we had a great time. I love to be on stage.

Well I just got back from Livia's 5th Birthday party. Man it was loud, but fun! I think there was 11 kids there. And mom and dad too. It was a disco theme so I dressed up in the old green top and bell bottoms that mom has had for years. the ones from frenchy's. I think steph got some pictures, so I will post it, if its not too embarasing!!

Granny is in the hospital. She's been there since Jan 21. I am going to visit her tomorrow morning.

I auditioned for the spring play. We are doing "once upon a mattress"
I don't know if I got a part yet or not. They have handed out the major roles, so I didn't get one of those. But that is ok. There are some really talented people this year. Alot of young university students too. It should be fun.

Well I better go. I am typing this on Ben's laptop(Joanna's boyfriend)
We are going to play pool tonight, haven't done that in a while.

What a great Turkey

Well another Thanksgiving has come and went. Had a great meal at Merle and Steph's house sunday afternoon. I ate so much I am still stuffed!! And I went over again last night to eat leftovers.

Livia came over to my place saturday. I took her out to lunch first. We ate at Mancho Wok in the mall. Then we went to see Open season. It was pretty funny. It was a little long though, they could have cut alot of the first 45 minutes out I think. but we laughed alot. Then Livia helped me make supper. We had donairs. Then she helped me make a cheese ball for sunday. She really liked doing that. She enjoyed licking her fingers clean after having them in a bowl of cream cheese.

Then we played dress up. We put on some wigs and I took our picture. Hope they turn out. I have to get them developed.

Then it was bath time and off to bed we went. When she woke up in the morning I asked her if she slept good and she goes "no, cause of my head infection". We think this means she's got a sinus cold or something. it's just kinda funny she will go "my head infecting is acting up"
poor livia.

Merle heads off to Ottawa tomorrow. I am so jealous. He gets to see the war museum and robbie , bobbie and the girls. I had a nice talk on the phone with Piper last night though, so that was nice.

Happy Hump Day

Ok so Sarah Harmer was awesome, Sloan was awesome, and Petunia was awesome. It was a great weekend all around. The best part of the sloan concert was I was right at the front with all the little girlies. It was funny, I felt a little old, but hey it was worth it. Especially when Jay looked at me, and smiled, ahhhhh. He's such a cutie!!
I bought a t-shirt, it's pretty nice and it was only 20$ which is quite cheap considering some of the other concerts I have been to they were alot more.
Petunia saturday night was great, but also sad as it was his last show for a while. Andrea loves petunia, but I have to admit that I enjoy his back up band. :) We danced around and had fun, and I think everyone there had a good time, if not from the band, then seeing some drunken girls twirl around. haha. And if a cute drummer smiled at me and made my heart do thump thump, then that is good too, haha.

So monday night was my first dance class. They named the class "the swing chicks" but there is nothing swing about it. It's all ladies and it's step and tap dancing. but that is fine, except now I have to buy tap shoes. I always wanted to learn tap dancing. It was alot of fun, so now I have something to look forward to on monday nights!!!

I had supper at Merle's last night. After supper I took Livia with me to wash our hands (she was stealing food from my plate so her hands were sticky). well we get upstairs to the washroom and I am washing my hands and Livia is sanding beside me telling me a story about "one time, a different day, I fell in the toilet..." and she's going on, and I happen to look over at her, and she's standing there with her panties around her ankles. (she didn't feel like wearing pants today so they weren't there)
anyhow I go "Livia, why are your panties around your ankles?"
and she goes "I have to pee" (looking at me like I was stupid)
then I hear some giggles and then uncontrolable laughter from the next room where steph was changing Julia. It's just funny that she just stood there talking to be, without getting on the toilet, which she can do on her own. I found it quite funny

Saturday is Livia's first dance class, she's taking ballet
she's very excited. she showed me her new shoes and outfit.
Then we get to party with the family, woo hoo

I got a part in the play!!! Woo Hoo!!
I am so excited. My name is Tessie, and I am a performer in the USO with my sister Jessie and our 2 proteges, gwen and lulu. Doesn't that sound great?? I get to sing 2 songs with this group, Don't sit under the apple tree and tico tico. (As you can probably tell, it takes place during world war 2.) I even get to dress up as Carmen Miranda, won't that be fun???

So the show is Dec 14, 15, 16. I can't wait!!!

Tomorrow night I get to see Sarah Harmer, then Friday night I get to see Sloan, talk about a busy week. Two concerts in one week. I am so excited to see Sloan, I guess I saw them last september when they were here last, oh yeah and in April in Halifax for the Junos. Maybe I will get to talk to Jay again, wouldn't that be something??

Audition time again

This saturday is audition day. I still haven't decided what I am going to sing. This fall's musical is set during world war 2 so it's got some great music in it. Should be a blast and I can't wait, but I get so nervous auditioning!! oh well

This week is going to be crazy too, it's harvest jazz and blues festival week. I volunteered to be a bar server friday night, and now I am a little nervous about that. I was thinking they would only sell beer and coolers, but no, I have to mix drinks, and they are watching you like a hawk, so I better be fast, not spill anything, or make any mistakes. oh well should be fun. I figured it would be another way to meet people right?
Saturday night Nicole and I are going to see Metric and Wintersleep at UNB. So two nights in a row of hours on my feet. I will survive..I hope.

Today is Merle and Steph's 8 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been 8 years. Time flies like crazy these days.

Didn't win at the dart tournament this year, but I had a blast. It was the most people they had in 18 years!! there were 47 teams. Mom almost won again, her team did really well. Jerry and his partner got a 3rd place trophy so that was pretty cool. I didn't get home til 5:30am so I was a write off last monday. but hey, it's only once a year and I had such a great time.

Well I better get back to work. Not much going on right now so I thought I would take a break.

Another weekend here. Don't have a whole lot planned this one. Tomorrow is Livia's final soccer tournament, so we are all heading to the field at 9am to watch her play 2 games. should be fun. poor mom and dad have to get up pretty early to be at the field for 9. oh well, they haven't watched liv play soccer yet so that should be fun.

I don't know what I am going to do Saturday night. I might call up Andrea and see what she's up to this weekend. I haven't seen her in a while.

I volunteered for the Harvest Jazz and Blues festival this year. I just got my email telling me I have to go to a one hour training seminar on how to serve beer! haha, like I need to learn that, I have been doing it my whole life! haha just kidding. anyway, I signed up for 2 nights, we'll see how I do. Maybe I will meet some cute single men. That like jazz???!!!
I would rather have met some cute single men in kilts at the highland games but for some reason they didn't get back to me. they must have known I would spend most of my time checking out the men, haha.

It's almost time to go here. come on 4:30.......

Next weekend is another party at trevor and kims, then the weekend after that is the long weekend and i have the dart tournament on sunday, can't miss that. and i think merle and the family and myself are going to head to saint john and check out the museum there.

Man the summer is going so fast. I can't believe it's August already!!!

Last weekend was very busy. Friday night I went to the NB Highland games. I brought granny and she really enjoyed it, as did I. I took a whole role of film so I will post it when I get them back.
I also went to Nelson and Andrea's wedding. That was so much fun. Didn't get home till 8am sunday morning. I am still tired!!! Lots of cool people from Toronto, and lots of nice family members (who loved to dance - whoopie!!)

So last weekend was Trevor's birthday bash. It was an 80's party and it was so much fun!!! Everyone dressed up, even the kids. There was good food, good company and of course, karaoke.

This weekend is another party but this time it's at the lake. It's dad's retirement / birthday / debbie's birthday party. And since Dad started working for the government in 1973, we all have to dress up like that year. And we got some music from that year also. And, of course, I am bringing my karaoke. It's gonna be another hot one. They are calling for 37 for saturday with the humidex, and 39 on sunday!!! It's nuts!! I hate this heat. Today it's not too bad, as it rained, but you can just tell it's gonna get worse.

I'm sick!!

Well I have my summer cold. Just a week in and my head is full. I went home sick yesterday at lunch and I took some pills, and I was out till 6pm.
And I slept last night, only woke up once. So hopefully all that rest will help. Now my heart is beating a mile a minute. I am taking the daytime medicine, that says on the package "may cause excitability in some". So I would be the some. As long as I just stay sitting down I think I'll be fine.

So we aren't goin to the pioneer pub this year. The tickets are sold out! But of all the years to miss, I think this is the year to do it, as they are having a country band. And everyone knows how much I love country. Argh! I am actually surprised that they haven't had a country band before this as Oromocto is filled with country fans. Too bad.
So we are going to go out to dinner instead, that will be nice. Then saturday we are going to check out the Canada Day parade in Oromocto. They have tanks, so that makes it a better parade. Then after that, I will head to the lake for the rest of the long weekend. Hope there is come sun.

My summer is looking really busy - I think I have something to do every weekend in July, and a few in August. No traveling planned as of yet. I was hoping to get to see Shelley at some point. And I also wanted to get to Ottawa some time. It's been 6 years since my last visit, Briar wasn't even born yet. Oh how time flies!!!

Well I better get to work. It's a dark and dreary day today. But it's still muggy. Yuck!

Summer's Here

So today is the first day of summer, although I must say that yesterday was very very summer-like. I nearly passed out the humidity was so high. I hate it!! Unless of course I had a pool that I could just throw myself into at the end of a long day. Actually it's not that hot here in the office. It's the car!! Why do they make black cars with no air conditioning??

Tonight I am going to see "The Lake House". Yes I know, a chick flick. I am going with Joanna, so it's not like I am going by myself to see it.

This weekend I am off to Saint John for a big 30th birthday party for Joanna, and it's also a combo house warming for kiersten too. We are all staying at her new town house. Can't wait to see it. Should be a blast!
Not that I am a big fan of the city of Saint John but hey it's something different right? and originally she wanted to go camping....so I'm glad that idea was nixed!!

Went boating last weekend with Nick, Melissa, Jill and Andre. That was so much fun. I didn't bring my camera, but Melissa and Jill had their camera's so hopefully they will send me some photos. I know Jill got some of me jumping off the boat into the cold washdamoik (I don't know how it spell this, sorry). But it wasn't as cold as Grand Lake was sunday. I thought maybe I'd go for a quick dunk, but man it was cold...burrr.
Hopefully it warms up for the long weekend. or if not, as long as it's hot outside, I'll be in the water!!!

Been reading some reviews from the montreal show. So far everyone has been happy. No bad reviews. But how could you give them a bad review. They are pros, and such a great live band!!

Ok so I was wrong. My view at the moncton show was better. IT was almost the exact same spot, or we could say it was the exact spot but what made it better was the floor was raised a bit where I was standing and all the people in front of me were shorter!!!

Check out this photo, you can see my two skinny little arms in the air, at the far right. I got this photo off the radio station web site again. They were very strict about the camera's at the moncton show but people were still able to sneak some camera's in. I am glad, I wish I could have taken some pics!

and now for the exciting news, I caught Garry's sweat soaked wrist band!!! Woo Hoo. Dad said, "you're gonna have to wash that" and I said "well doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?". This is way better than mom's story of Burton Cummings sweating on her at the Guess Who concert when she was 15, HAHA.

And then after the show, I went to this pub downtown moncton and I brought nicole with me, and in walks Andrew Farriss!!! So I went over to tell him that I enjoyed both shows, and that I thought they were the best concerts I have ever been to. He said that was very sweet and that I was sweet to say that. ahhh.

I was reading the message boards and there were some other people that saw them out on Main street monday night. But I missed them. I was looking. And these other girls met them yesterday as they were getting on the bus to leave. I would have loved to meet Jon, but it's ok. I saw them twice, and they were great both times. Oh and I touched JD's hand when he ran by my chair too. And got more of his water on me. He likes to throw in in the audience.

It was well worth it!! I had a great time. It's going to be hard to top this one. Its' gonna suck coming down from this high I tell you!

The greatest show on earth

Well last night I went to the opening night of the INXS cross canada tour here in Fredericton. IT WAS AMAZING!!!What a great time. I had the best seat. I couldn't believe how well I could see everyone, even Jon, although it was hard to see him clearly as he was behind his drums of course. At one point, I could have reached out and touched JD, he can right up on the railing beside me. It was so much fun. I can't wait till tonight and the moncton show!!

Great view of everything. And the 2 women who sat next to me were really nice too. They will be at the moncton show tonight also. As will alot of other diehards.

Friday again

Oh wait, it's thursday, but since tomorrow is a holiday it's like a friday right? Going to the lake tomorrow for the weekend. I have to work Monday though so I will be coming back sunday. Should be a blast

I finally got all my film developed. I had 3 rolls, and they go back as far as December and my play I was in. I put a bunch in photo albums on my yahoo photo site. And the first roll I took with Joanna's camera turned out great. The colour is great, some red eyes even with the red eye reduction but I might have done something wrong there, I don't know for sure.

Its raining here and it's making me feel so blah. I think I will run over to the liquor store after work and pick up some beer for the long weekend - ummmm beer. Handy working right next do to the liquor store. woo hoo!!

Here is a funny picture of me with my hair straightened. And you can also see that I have a messy apartment. Bad Candace!!! I was testing out my timer on the camera. I think this was my old camera.

I saw Joanna and Andrea's trip pictures. All 380 something like that. Took us a while, there are some really great ones!! And she gave me my b-day gift, an Anderson tarten wool blanket (travel rug) woo hoo. I love it so much it made me cry. I have not parted with it. it's on my bed already. I don't think I am going to share it either. My guests can use my crappy old ones, too bad!

Oh yeah, I bought a ticket to the Fredericton show of INXS. yes they added a date. I was very excited. so now I am going to 2 of their shows. 4th row for both shows, I couldn't get any closer.

Just a lazy Friday afternoon

So I am just taking a break, thought I'd just add a few thoughts. Still don't have any new pictures. I wish I had some more, but soon.

Got an email from Joanna, from England. And what did she have to tell me?
She gave me a web site address to check out. And who is on this web site? Her of course. Now it wasn't anything bad. It was a band from England and they had pictures of fans and people at the bars where they play. And in the picture from last saturday night, there is little ol' Joanna, with 3 other people I have no idea who they are. But it was so funny. It was at a bar in London called Bar Academy or something like that.

Her, Andrea, and Micheal also called me the other night from a bar in Glasgow! Oh how I wish I was there with them. But then I would never have met Jay. So I will get to Scotland, maybe next year. I gotta go soon, or else I will just never get there!!!!

Had lunch with Merle today. Went over to his office. It's a nice place. Lots of books, haha ok so it wasn't that funny. But it's not actually in the library, so I wonder who the poor person is that has to cart all the books over to the library once they have been catalogued?

The girls are both sick, poor things - Liv an ear infection and Jules has a cold. As does Merle.
Only 3 more weeks till they move so they are going to be in overdrive packing. I offered to help as I don't have anything exciting planned for the weekend.

Oh my gosh I talked to nicole last night, and even though her Juno tickets fell through, she still went to a VIP party at the palace afterwards and hung out with the Black Eyed Peas!!! Can you believe that? And she got 2 email addresses and a phone number from people who liked her jewellery.

The best weekend ever!!!

Ok so the weekend was awesome! I had so much fun!! I saw 7 great bands perform, one being one of my favorite bands SLOAN!!! It was so great.
And I talked to Jay Ferguson both nights! That just made my whole year I tell you!! Nicole made fun of me, said I was such a dork, but I don't care. At least I wasn't all star struck to the people I met, just before and after I talked to them. I met people from the following bands:
Air Traffic Control, Liz Band, Galore, Carmen Townsend, and of course Jay from Sloan. I also saw Bill from Treble Charger but I didn't talk to him.
It was all so exciting.

Juno Weekend

Well I am getting pretty excited about going to Halifax tomorrow. I think it's gonna be a great time. Just imagine all the famous people that will be walking the streets of Halifax, and I will be in the middle of it all! Nicole's apartment is close to alot of the venues. I can't wait.
I bought myself and nicole a braclet to the friday and saturday night junofest activities. I also took monday off work, just in case we come into some free juno awards tickets. you just never know, someone could say "hey you girls want some tickets?"

There are so many bands playing, it'll be hard to choose which ones to go see. I would like to go see Matt Mayes but he's playing Friday night in Dartmouth and Nicole and I are a little scared to go over there at night. So I think we will stick to the shows that are within walking distance, which is at least 10 I think, one is right out her door. No cabs, woo hoo! more money for beer!! haha

Joanna leaves for England today. I can't wait till she gets home and I can see her pictures! She bought a digital camera (I know, I don't even have one) and she gave me her old one, which works great. well I haven't gotten the film deveolped yet so I don't know what the pictures will look like, but it's smaller than mine, and a lot quieter.

Well that is it for now. I hopefully will have lots of stories when I get back.

Well saturday night was the party. I had a really great time. I want to thank everyone for coming and the wonderful gifts they got me. I can't believe I am no longer in my 20's. I don't feel any older, but it's only been a day. I do feel very tired today but that could be because I stayed up till 12:30 to watch the Oscar's, then I tossed and turned till about 2am. I hate sundays!

Well can you believe it's February already? Less than a month till I turn 30!!! Argh!!! That is scary!!

I joined a gym. I know this may come as a shock to those of you who know me well. It's a woman's gym, so I don't have to feel all self-consious while I am pumping up, haha.
I really enjoy the classes the most. It's more fun with music and other people around.

Not a whole lot else new here. Been busy with the gym and work. That is about it. No new pictures.

Well it's getting closer to that time of year when we give and receive all those nicely wrapped gifts. My favorite part? Eating all that yummy food and getting together with my family. Playing games, laughing. Oh such fun!

The musical was a hit. Still don't have any pictures for here yet, but I will get them developed soon. Great turn-out for the crowds, and the family loved it. But I am glad it's over for now.

This weekend is Nick and Melissa's annual christmas party. Can't wait for that. Even though we are in for a bit of nasty weather tonight. And I have a head cold, go figure. It just wouldn't be christmas with out me being sick.

Last night was my work christmas party, well dinner really. It was nice. We went to the Holiday Inn (the old Mactaquac Lodge). Good food and drinks. And I won the door prize. I never win anything. It's so exciting.
OH the prize is a brunch for 2 at the same place. pretty good deal I think. I heard it's really good.

Still have lots of christmas shopping to do. I have a few things bought but not everything. I just got so behind what with the play and everything.
But I don't mind.

Is this a great picture or what? Too bad I had the camera so far back on the counter, but still you get the idea. This was taken at mom and dad's, they had a surprise birthday party for Jerry. It was a fun night.

I have been busy so that is why I haven't updated in a while. The musical that I am in is this weekend!! So I have practice every night this week. Tonight is full dress rehersal. I will try and get some pictures up on here soon.

Christmas is coming so fast, only 19 more sleeps! I told Livia that today when I picked her up at school. I think she's getting excited too. Julia I am not too sure, what do you think?

This was taken on Rememberance Day weekend. Wish I had a picture of her more recent, like today I saw her at lunch and she looks so much bigger! Amazing how fast they grow.

Next week I am going to go see The chronicals of Narnia movie. I can't wait. Then I have to get some christmas shopping done, I have left it to the last, but I had no choice this year.

I laughed so hard. Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was great. Here are the pics.

We are supposed to get snow today. So far none of the white stuff. We will just have to wait and see. I guess I should be getting the tires for my car sooner than later.....

Had a great weekend last weekend. Shelley and Shawn were down, they gave me some pictures from their wedding. We went out to eat, then had some drinks. Saturday morning we went to the market, then I headed to the lake. I had a little shadow there. She didn't leave my side, which is fine. Livia is coming to my apartment friday night and we are going to have a slumber party! Popcorn, movies, and decorate my tree. This is just the beginning of slumber parties in years to come. Can't wait!!!

I had some complements sunday at rehursals. We were doing a new dance routine, and I was just dancing away, not paying much attention to everyone else. Well, after we were all done, one of the ladies came up to me and said that I had great rhythm, and she really enjoyed watching me! and then another guy, as I was leaving said great dancing.
I thought that was really nice. Totally unexpected. I do love to dance. It's nice they said something. Can't wait to dance with my poodle skirt and my little shoes.

Rememberance Day

Went down to the ceremony today. Man it was so cold out. There was a good turnout. I think I was the only one that had to go back to work.
But it was warm here in the office so that is one good thing.

Shelley and Shawn are on their way here right now. Can't wait to see them. It's been since the wedding in July that I seen them last.
We are going to go out for supper, then maybe some drinks at my place or out. Don't know yet. They don't know that Joanna will be coming too. She thought she had to work, but found out last night that she has tomorrow off. Yeah!!!

I just found out that Pride and Prejudice isn't coming to Fredericton. Talk about me being mad!!! I was planning on going to see that monday night. grrrrr. Sometimes being in a small city sucks. Maybe it'll come at a later date. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Heading down to the lake tomorrow afternoon. Merle and the family are all there too. Should be fun. Play some games, drink some beer. hummmmmm beer.

I am such a history geek, isn't it great??

So for supper tonight I think I am going to have a good british supper, fish and chips (even though I don't like fish, I will have a cheeseburger in stead, it's the thought that counts. besides Merle will be eating the fish beside me, so that counts right??)

Still working hard, so hard I haven't had time to do any laundry. Had to go out last night and buy some "unmentionables" so that I could last a few more days. I am going to have to do some laundry this weekend, or else I will be running around naked, and that won't be good.

I was talking to Steph last night and she asked Livi if she wanted to talk to aunt Candace, and Liv goes "I'm too busy". Come on, she's 3!!!
But mom and dad were there, so I imagine she was playing with her papa.

Well I am into the overtime mode now. Worked from 9am till 7pm Saturday. Just the way you want to spend your weekend, eh? Well Sunday at least I had rehursals for my play. Now I am back to work today, hopefully it won't be too late a night tonight. We shall see.

No new pictures to show.
Still no baby. Today is Mom's guess, and it's the full moon, so maybe she'll be right? If not, the next day for a guess in Friday, Trafalger Day, which you can guess, is Merle's date. I just told him they can't name the baby Horatio (is that how you spell it?)

My Car Hates me

so my car is sitting in my brothers parking lot right now. It wont' start. Something to do with the distributor cap or something getting wet. It rained for like 4 days straight, so luckily it stopped today. I am going to go over after work today and try to start it. It better work, I tell you!!

I finally got some pictures back from Jason Snow's wedding, Nick and Melissa's wedding, and Livia's first day of pre-school. I will put her's first. She's so cute!!!

I finally got the new Matthew Good Cd. It is awesome. And I already watched the Dvd that came with it. It was kinda weird, I was watching all his video's, and I had on the commentary. And I was talking to myself, going "oh, I love this next part" then right after I said it, Matt Good would say the same thing. It was kinda freaky. Anyhow, it's a great cd/dvd.
I have decided I want to buy more music dvd's. I have the Inxs one, which I love. I will have to get some more. Especially bands that will never come out east.

Melissa just sent me some of her professional photo's from the wedding. Man did they ever turn out great!! They look so cute together. And happy, can those smiles get any bigger??

Not much new and exciting here. Steph hasn't had the baby yet, but she could go anytime. She went for an ultrasound monday and the baby is already 6 lbs. So it should be around 8 or 9lbs when he/she enters the world. They moved up her due date to Oct 27. (4 days from before)

I am so happy. He did a great job. Hope it all works out for him.
New album is out Nov 29th, will have to ask for that for christmas I guess. And the world tour starts in January, but I doubt they will be coming anywhere near me. I can always dream. Maybe they will put in a Halifax date so that all JD's family can come see him. That would be great.
Not that I could get tickets. Look at Pearl Jam. I tried to get tickets for that, and it sold out in 1 hour!!!

Wedding Fun Times!!!!

The wedding Friday night was a blast. Can't wait to get my photo's back so I can post a few. Yes I know I think I am the only person without a digital camera.
I parties till 6am, which is just crazy for me. Then I got up at 10am. So needless to say, I did not do much saturday night.

I had alot of fun saturday night. Danced til I could dance no more. And I looked pretty good I must say. Every one did. It was beautiful, and Nick and Melissa looked very very happy!!! They are in New York City for their Honeymoon. told Melissa not to let Nick handle directions, as he's directionally challenged.

Can't wait for tomorrow night, see who INXS picks....

Here comes the rain again

Its raining. not going to make for a fun night out under the tent. Going to see Johnny Lee Hooker Jr with my Uncle Tom. It's the Harvest Jazz and Blues festival, and it's outside under a huge tent. Oh well, it'll still be entertaining, I just won't wear good shoes.

Last night Suzie got the boot on Rock Star Inxs. It was sad but I figured she would be next. I didn't think Mig did that great with the Inxs song but that is my opinon. Next week they announce who they pick. Hope it's JD but I would be ok with Marty too. I have a crush on JD, along with my Jon.
I'm so aweful!!!!

Tomorrow is Nick and Melissa's wedding. That should be a fun party. Took the afternoon off work, as it's in Moncton. hope the rain holds off for tomorrow.

Oh I got my roll for the production of "This ole house"
my name is Lily, and I have 2 whole lines. But hey, at least I am up there right?

Friday at last

I went to the FREX last night. That was fun. I brought along Steph and Livia. Wish I had my camera with me. Just the expression on Liv's face when she went on those rides was priceless. She had a great time. I won her a little tweety bird, but she's been running around the apartment going "my mickey", she doesn't quite know all her characters I guess.
She didn't want to leave, and she went on almost all the kiddie rides.
I went on 2 big kid rides by myself, so I was happy.

Not much new and exciting beside that.

Rock Star Inxs is down to the top 4. I really enjoyed Suzie and Marty last week, and JD to. I found Migs' original song a little boring.
New shows will be starting up soon. Can't wait. You know where I'll be!!

Oh yeah, and auditions for "This Ole House" are on sunday at 1:30
so I think I am going to be brave and try out. Wish me luck!!!

Rain Rain go away

Just a quick one here. The rain is supposed to stop for the long weekend, I hope so. I took friday off also. I am heading down to the lake, woo hoo.

Last night on Rock Star INXS, the final 6 all did really well.
If I had to choose the bottom 3 performance wise, I'd say it'd be Ty, JD, and Mig. But I have a feeling that they won't be in the bottom. It will be Ty, JD, and Suzie. I just think that Mig, Jordis and Marty have lots and lots of fans.

My 3 faves are still Marty, Suzie, and JD. But after not being prepared for the studio, JD is getting lower on my list.

So we will see tonight.

Have new neighbours above me, and they sound like elephants!!! I am going to have to complain. I don't like to do that, but I haven't slept the last 2 nights as they are moving stuff around in the bedroom, and walking really heavy. Is there any need to be doing this at 1:30 am when you know there is someone living below you? you'd think it would be a common sense thing. But I have not slept one night in that building, until the person above me has gone to bed. (this is the 3 person to live in that apartment, and i've only been there 1 year) I can hear everything they do, it's so annoying. ARGHHHHH

Well I better get back to work!

Holy Gas Prices Batman

I can't believe the gas prices, I don't know how I am going to be able to afford my car. It's nuts - 112.9 a litre.

Last night was elimination night on Rock Star: Inxs. They finally got rid of Jessica. I didn't really like her much, but I have to admit that she can sing Inxs songs. And last night she sang one of my favourites, Mystify.
I was on the Inxs web page today and I heard the song that J.D. and Suzie did on a radio station in LA. They sang "Never tear us apart" and man did they do a good job. It was almost spooky how much JD sounds like MH, so I don't know if that will help him in the end or not. There are alot of JD haters out there on the internet. Just go to the web site for the show and read some of the message boards, it's crazy!!
Jon look good again last night, as usual. (sigh.....)

Now on to my weekend plans. My uncle Robbie and family are coming to visit from Ottawa. So I will see them all weekend. Should be lots of fun seeing my cousins (who are now aged 10, 8, and 5) plus Liv will be there, who is 3 1/2. Not for the faint of heart I assure you. Hope to get some good pictures of all the hijinxs.

Bachelorette Party Madness

So it was Melissa's stagette party Saturday night in Moncton. We all had a great time. Lots of drinks, but good times. Here is a group photo.

Not too much more to update. Tonight is the performance show for Rock Star:Inxs. Should be a good show. Some pretty weird songs chosen for the ringers, but I think they should do great. I just wish they would get rid of Jessica. She isn't as good as the rest anyway. I don't enjoy Ty either, not that he doesn't sing well, he should be on Broadway or something. That is just my opinion though.

Ok, so I've been watching Rock Star:Inxs. I can't seem to help myself. And I don't find myself watching the competitors....Is it just me, or has Jon Farriss gotten better looking with age? I can't stop looking at him. So now I have a crush on him. Well, he's only 15 years older than me, not too bad right?

Oh well, it keeps my Tuesday and Wednesday nights full. Although I have to tape the tuesday night show as it's on at 11pm here.

I have been having a pretty uneventful summer so far. Went to Shelley's wedding in July. Now I have 2 more weddings left to go to. Ah, the summer and wedding season. Kinda depressing really.Here's a pic from Shelley's wedding.

Can't wait for September and the back to school season when the bands start doing the university tours. And now that I am living in a university town again, I am so happy. Sloan is coming Sept 24th I think. And I am hoping for Limblifter again. I think it would be great if the Arcade Fire came too. But I guess I will just have to keep my fingers crossed.
